Zoom interview assistant

AI Interview Assistant for Zoom Interviews

Cluegent runs as a desktop assistant outside the meeting participant list, helping with permitted Zoom interviews through live context, typed prompts, and screenshot-aware support.

AI Interview Assistant for Zoom Interviews

Designed for desktop workflows alongside Zoom.

Does not join the call as a meeting participant.

Private desktop overlay for permitted workflows.

Supports resume-aware and screenshot-aware answers.

Useful for HR, behavioral, technical, and coding Zoom interviews.

Zoom setup checklist

Open Cluegent before Zoom, sign in, add resume context, and test your microphone or system-audio path in a practice call. Place the overlay beside—not over—the speaker view, captions, chat, or meeting controls. If you may share, test the exact share mode you intend to use: full screen, one window, or a selected tab.

Choose the right input mode

Use listening for permitted spoken context, typed prompts when you already know the question, and Screenshot when a coding problem, diagram, error, or shared prompt is visible. Ctrl + Enter submits on Windows; Command + Enter is the equivalent on macOS.

Zoom troubleshooting

If Cluegent is not receiving useful context, confirm Zoom is using the expected audio device, that Cluegent has the required operating-system permissions, and that listening is actually started. For screenshot questions, keep the relevant problem visible and remove unrelated personal information first.

Screen sharing and responsible use

Cluegent is a desktop assistant for permitted workflows, not a way to bypass recording, monitoring, or proctoring rules. Always check the interviewer's rules, Zoom settings, and local consent requirements before using AI, transcription, or screenshots.

Customize Cluegent for your context

Cluegent is not one fixed answer style. You can tune the assistant around your resume, screen, voice context, and repeated prompts.

Resume context

Add your resume in Settings → Customize so Cluegent can keep your background, projects, skills, and experience in mind while helping with permitted interviews.

Listening responses

Customize how Cluegent answers from live transcript context: concise, detailed, example-first, interviewer-facing, or any style that matches your workflow.

Screen and type responses

Set separate behavior for screenshot-based answers and typed prompt answers, so code screens, visual questions, and direct questions get the right response style.

Quick action buttons

Create quick action buttons for repeated prompts like answer shortly, give an example, explain tradeoffs, brainstorm, or ask the next question.
